creativity against the world

Ask any adult to draw a picture of themselves… few can do so beyond a third grade level. In most places around the world, children stop drawing by the end of elementary school. There are multiple reasons for this, but most importantly, there are more reasons to continue drawing daily, at every age.

People that can draw, think differently, communicate clearly, innovate easily.

In the Spring of 2002, Matthew Schlueb launched the “Why learn to draw?” initiative, to champion childhood curiosity and discovery through drawing.  This drawing and coloring book was made for all ages, created from images of Matthew’s home – Villa Vuoto.
