gestured form and activated space

Graduate Thesis by Matthew Schlueb submitted for a Master in Architecture from Pratt Institute (1994), under the direction of Richard Scherr (M. Arch. Chair & Major Advisor), Deborah Gans (B. Arch. Chair & Major Advisor), and Martin Skalski (Industrial Design Independent Study & Advisor).

An investigative research study into the visual perception of architectural space, exploring proxemic relationships between the inhabitant and inhabitable form. The research revealed the influence ‘form articulation and spatial delineation’ has on human behavior, establishing an ability to measure the location and extremes of perceptual thresholds within the theory of Gestalt Psychology.
